What To Expect When You Visit
When you arrive at Le Mars Bible Church, please enter through the front glass doors. There you will be welcomed by a greeter, who will help you get the most out of your time with us. Our greeters will gladly answer any questions you may have and make sure that you and your family find everything you need.
We are a church that includes people of all ages — from great-grandparents to newborn babies. The dress on Sunday morning tends toward business casual, but you should feel comfortable wearing anything from shorts to suits.
Following a welcome and introduction we often take a few seconds in the service to meet and greet one another. This is a great time to get to know a few of those sitting around you.
We have reserved parking for our visitors. Please feel free to use the designated parking spots by our front door.
Our style of musical worship could be categorized as blended. Both services are the same each week, but we have several different worship teams that rotate the responsibility to lead worship. One week we might have a more traditional feel led by vocalists and a piano, and the next week we might have a more contemporary feel with a full band. In the same morning, we often will sing a classic hymn of the faith alongside more contemporary songs with God-honoring lyrics.
Preaching is a central focus of our worship time and sermons typically last 35-40 minutes. It is in this time that we receive instruction from God through His written Word.
Our pastors practice expositional preaching: the pastor will draw his message straight from the Bible and offer clear, practical, and straightforward application.
Most of our people bring their Bibles with them to church, so they can follow along with the message. If you do not have a Bible, don’t worry — we will give one to you. The weekly bulletin includes a page number for the passage of Scripture the pastor will be explaining that week.
Our desire is to minister to your entire family, from the youngest to the oldest.
A nursery for infants through 2 years old is provided during both morning services and during the evening service.
A cry room and a nursing mother’s room with live video feeds from the worship center are available whenever you need them.
During the 10:45am service, we also offer Children’s Church for ages 3 through 2nd grade. Children planning to attend Children’s Church sit with their families during the first part of the service, and are dismissed from the service before the sermon begins.
Before and after the worship services you will notice that the coffee is brewing and people are staying to talk with each other about the Bible, life, ministry, and everything in between. We would love to have you join in — visiting one of our Adult Bible Fellowships that meet at 9:30am is a great way to meet other people and learn more about our church.
