Saturday Morning Men’s Breakfast
A men’s breakfast is held on the 2nd Saturday of each month from 7:30–9:00 AM. All men are invited to join us for a time of encouragement and fellowship. These breakfasts provide an opportunity for fellowship on an informal basis as well as an opportunity for biblical coaching. We enjoy a hot breakfast, a time of prayer, and the application of biblical truth to men’s issues.
Iron Sharpeners Men’s Discipleship
This ministry gets its name from Proverbs 17:17, “As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another.” This discipleship ministry pairs men up to meet regularly on a one-on-one basis for the purpose of discipleship. Most of these one-on-one relationships involve weekly or bi-weekly meetings. The nature of these one-on-ones involves coaching younger believers or encouraging one another in the areas of Bible study, Scripture memory, prayer, marriage, fatherhood, and applying biblical truth to everyday living. For information on how to be involved, contact the church office.
Every other year we host a men’s conference where we bring in a pastor or other Christian speaker to challenge men to fulfill their God-given roles as leaders of their homes and churches. This event ministers to our own men as well as those from other area churches that attend. Recent speakers included Pastor Doug Witzke, Dr. Paul Tautges, Dr. Rick Holland, and Pastor Patrick Abendroth.
Biblical Leadership Training
Each spring and fall we offer a course designed to equip men for biblical leadership in the church and in their own homes. The men meet at 4pm each Sunday afternoon. Each week there is an assignment of about forty pages of reading and a small applicational project. Currently Pastors Mike Hulinsky and Matt McGrew are teaching an 11-week course on the doctrines of Man, Sin, and Salvation.
